Gloria Danqiao Cheng

Welcome!

I am an Assistant Professor of Management at the School of Management and Economics, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. My research examines how social hierarchies shape workplace experiences and outcomes across multiple levels of analysis. Drawing on lab and field experiments, archival data analyses, interviews, and computational methods, I study the subtle, systemic mechanisms through which inequality is sustained in organizations, as well as interventions that can foster more equitable and inclusive workplaces.

I received my Ph.D. in Management and Organizations from UCLA Anderson School of Management in 2022 and my B.A. in Psychology (with Honors) and Economics from UC Berkeley in 2018.
